Fright Night games you could be playing

Spooky games you could be playing

It is coming to that time where we are in need of games that offer that scare factor concept to gamers. Some of these games are those edge of the seat games that offer suspense and make you feel like you are the character. In this list, I will explain why I chose these games and how it offers great scare tactics to frighten your day. Here is my top five frightful games that you could be playing today.

  1. Outlast series: The Outlast series (DLC included) is a game that you want to add to your fright night games to play as it offers realism to the max. Outlast always does a great job to offer that creepy and eerie feeling to their games and makes the character feel like yourself. Immersion is the number one thing that is needed for horror games so it can help create that story that makes you push onward to finish your story and hopefully live to tell the tale. The game itself will have you feeling sick to the bone as it can be a bit graphic and scared shitless as you are trapped in your worse nightmare being chased by killers and nearly dying every time. The Outlast Trinity game includes Outlast 1 & 2 and the DLC for 29.99 which is a steal.

  2. Resident Evil series: If you are in need of that old zombie feeling where the undead come to life then Resident Evil does well to offer that old fashion zombie killer. There is multiple games of Resident Evil so I will break it down to the ones that I enjoy the most. The three that make Resident Evil right now for myself is Resident Evil Origins collection (which has Resident Evil 0 and 1) and Resident Evil 7. The original Resident Evil game does take a bit to get used to as it has fixed cameras which makes it scary at times as you will not be able to see if something will jump at you from around the corner. I believe what makes the original series so much is how you are limited on Saves as you use Ink ribbons. If you run out of Ink Ribbons then you better hope you remember where you forgot one or else when you die you start from your last save. Straying off from the original is Resident Evil 7 which is a great thriller and has some disgusting elements to it that makes it different from the others. The game starts off a bit different than the rest as you make your way to a mansion in search of your lost wife. What I love about the game is the difficulty in surviving and constantly being chased by a killer who welcomes you to the family. These games can help your scare tooth to the max and make you have a will to survive a zombie apocalypse/ Killer. The cost of Resident Evil Origins collection (39.99 New 19.99 Used) and Resident Evil 7 (Has DLC included is 49.99 New and 44.99 Used)

  3. Silent Hill series: If you have not heard of the Silent Hill games then you are surely missing out on a fantastic game series. Silent Hill is known to be the "King of Horror" (in my opinion) as they offer great story telling and immersion in the game. The original games of Silent Hill on PlayStation are absolutely stunning in its own way and if possible I would recommend trying to get them as the HD collection of the Silent Hill series removed some key components that make Silent Hill a great Horror game. In the original series, the games atmosphere is shrouded in mist so you would never know weather or not something is up ahead and would keep you on edge on what is coming. Some of the other Silent Hill games like Downpour and Homecoming do a great job at offering these feelings in the game and can be a fantastic addition to your collection. Silent Hill games vary so unfortunately I do not have an exact price range so it is estimated to be anywhere from 29.99 and up, however the Silent Hill Downpour and Homecoming games come in at a whopping 19.99 price.

  4. State of Decay 1 & 2 (coming soon): The thing about horror games is that survival aspect to games and State of Decay not only provides that need, it makes you feel overwhelmed with zombies. It may seem that being overwhelmed with zombies to be a negative to the game, however I believe it adds realism and an urge to make it out alive. The game involves key elements that make it seem that zombies could very well have these elements like Hearing and attacking in groups. In the game, you must find a base camp to establish and rescue survivors to expand your resources and your characters to play. If the character you are playing happens to die, you will switch over to a new character as you do not get a second chance in life, once you are dead in the game you are dead for good. The cost of these games are 19.99 for State of Decay and State of Decay 2 which comes in May 22nd for 29.99.

  5. Until Dawn: If you are interested in mystery games and having a huge twist on your gameplay, I would totally recommend Until Dawn. The game has a huge variety of choices that can very well change your story and decide the life of your characters. There is huge plot twists that do occur in the game and it is crazy how well they show them. I do not want to spoil the game too much as one word really explains the whole game in a nutshell. There is a sense of distress within the characters when the game starts off and it creates a "High School" feeling with the characters themselves. The game is available only on PlayStation and PlayStation VR for 19.99 used and is exclusive for PlayStation.

Conclusion:

In my own thoughts, these games are the perfect Fright Night games to play and experience. They offer many Horror moments and can leave you shaking in remembrance of those horrible creatures or villains. If you have any games that you would recommend or mention, please feel free to comment down below as I do reply as soon as possible. Hope everyone has a spectacular day
