Exciting titles to come in 2019 also Happy New Year

Happy New Year/Game Year

There are some exciting topics for the New Year regarding Video-games, Upcoming announcements from PlayStation/Microsoft so let us prepare for the New Year off right. The amount of game releases planned for next year is surely something you want to plan for as some titles have been waited on for so many years and in case it matters, I did plan a vacation just for one title. Without further ado, let us get straight into the games coming out for the new year.

Resident Evil 2

This is one title that Resident Evil fans are going to want to pick up and relive the old horror style that Resident Evil games offered. It can be said that lately, the Resident Evil series has been lacking on the Horror genre and focused on the Action of the game (Excluding Resident EVII as this was what fans needed) and this is something to look forward in RE2. The game takes place in Raccoon City where the outbreak started to get noticed by the government and Umbrella was starting to get recognition for their acts of Bio-terrorism. An On-Duty Police Officer of Raccoon City Leon S. Kennedy comes back into the city and realizes that everything is off as there seems to be no civil life seen on his return to the Police Department. From what we know of Resident Evil is that it is indeed a remaster of the old game with new graphics, play-style and a complete rework on the characters as well. In the original game, Leon was seen with Auburn hair and in the new one to come, he is seen with Blonde hair similar to his appearance from Resident Evil 4. It is strange that they would change that but maybe it was supposed to be blonde but due to how the systems were back then, it may have caused discoloration in the game. It is something to look forward to since everything looks even better and more modernized so this should be something that Capcom is gonna be successful in making.

From what was seen in the Demo version of the game and various trailers, there is a lot of reason to be excited about this game. The game features many actions that are new to the Resident Evil 2 remake such as Dodges and adding very strong detail to the zombies from detailing decay to the skin and blood giving them more of that zombie feeling. Not only can we see how detailed the undead are in this game, various characters as well look much sharper than before and makes the whole environment of Horror increase. In conclusion, this is a title that you will want to pick up for the New Year whether you are a Veteran of the Resident Evil series or a newcomer wanting a true taste of Horror.

Kingdom Hearts 3

BOX ART OF KH3

Now it would not be called "Exciting titles for 2019" if I did not include the most wanted game in the world and that is Kingdom Hearts. I actually got Hands-on with this game and played the demo which felt like the greatest demo ever played. The controls felt stellar at that and even made the combat system quite enjoyable and easy to learn. You have to give it to Square Enix for taking their time with this game and making this game feel very polished and that is from a Demo. When it came to the Cutscenes, and this is something that I do wanna highlight as well, not only did it feel surreal but it even made me not want to skip any of it as there were not any cheesy lines that were said and you could feel the amount of time it took to make the scenes feel genuine. It is can be plainly said that they took in a bunch of time to make every detail for every character, every enemy, and even shadows because I am weird and pay attention to that. The main thing to talk more about is graphics and gameplay for Kingdom Hearts and this will be discussed heavily because I think it is something that should be said as I was able to play on both Pro Console (Xbox One X/ PS4 Pro).
SAN FRANSOKYO IS A CONFIRMED WORLD FOR KINGDOM HEARTS

When it came to gameplay for both systems, both played very well at that however there were noticeable frame rate drops. This became very clear when fighting multiple Heartless and inputting too many commands/combos that can be done. It is strange that I noticed it happening on both systems as the combos you could initiate were fairly challenging to do however I have had experience in playing the Kingdom Hearts series and know how to quickly switch from attacks and apply magic skills to follow-up with ease. Once these actions were made, it became noticeable that there was still some work left to be done but to my digression, it is still very playable and still a Demo. Heading to how each Console held their own when it came to the Graphics of the game. Both Consoles (again this being the pro versions) were extraordinary at how they were able to make both game console graphics so clear. There are some key differences that I did indeed notice when playing on the Xbox one X then the PS4 and this is only noticeable when you really look closely at the details of certain objects and that is that the Xbox One X is sharper than PS4 Pro. Now, it is nothing to worry about regarding Performance since both systems played great and had the same issues when it came to bugs and glitches which is actually a good sign as it means that if any bugs are seen on any systems can be fixed at the same time. Overall, this is the game that is to offer some great "Wow" moments for all players and Disney fans would absolutely enjoy this as well.

Devil May Cry 5

Everyone's favorite demon-slaying team is back in action after being silent for quite some time. Devil May Cry is going to feature our previous Demon slayer Nero from DMC 4. There are some key changes that have happened to Nero that will surprise everyone as well as quite some time has passed with Nero not being the same as he was a few years back. If you do not want to get spoiled about one major change then I would suggest scrolling down to the next section as this one will discuss it more in-depth. In regards to the previous sentence, The one thing that has changed is his Buster arm as it is detachable and used as a versatile weapon. In the trailer, we can see a new sort of enemy appears and cuts his demon arm off and takes it for his own leaving Nero not only defenseless but also weakened as that was a way for him to draw on his Demonic powers. It can not be said if he still has the Yamato given to him by Dante but for now, we will assume it is in Devil May Cry's Shop collecting dust as usual. The game demo is out now for Xbox and PlayStation and they did keep the simplistic combat system that I am sure everyone loves. There are some things that I would personally change but I will discuss that in the next section so this one contains only the spoiler mentioned.

When it came down to the combat system and reliving that DMC feeling, I was satisfied with the usual Hack-and-Slash concept as it makes the game very easy to pick up and replay. One thing that is a bit interesting is how many different ways you can use your devil arms to kill the demons of hell. There is not only awesome ways to use your new devil arms to combat the demons but you can use them to help find various pathways that have awesome loot to expand your health too. An awesome ability to use is using your devil arm as a laser beam which can easily wipe down hordes in seconds. If you are looking for something to enjoy the Devil May Cry series again then definitely grab this game and hack-and-slash your way to hell.

Thoughts about the Future of Console Gaming

These are all the games at the moment but there are some honorable mentions that I would like to mention as well. We have, of course, Crackdown 3 which now seems like it will be a reality coming true for the fans of Crackdown. For once it seems we will not be left without games for the year since we also have Anthem (made by Bioware and EA) and Divison 2 (made by Ubisoft). Both titles look great and I am sincerely hoping that Anthem is good as it most likely will be the make or break game for Bioware and EA for me. I have mentioned multiple times that if Anthem fails to live up to expectations that I will no longer support any game from EA/Bioware since Andromeda was a massive fail in my opinion however I may hop back on it since many are saying it is fixed. There are so many things to look forward regarding Consoles as well since Microsoft dropped the ball on many projects they are working on such as Scarlett and Lockheart. PlayStation has not been idle either as there are rumors of a new console in the works which to me seems a bit sad since the Pro version of PS4 was just a year ago and has not lived such a long lifespan before resorting to a new console. I am hoping that with these new consoles that get discussed this year or next that we all can enjoy our current console games on here. What are some titles that you are looking forward to? What are some of your thoughts about the new projects that both Microsoft and Sony? let me know and I would love to talk more about it in the comments and again Happy New Year everyone.
