What Game System should I buy?

What is the perfect system for your taste?

When it comes to Video-games, I am a stickler for quality games and longevity of the system I am buying. There are multiple systems out there in the world but the bottom line comes down to is which one is right for gaming habits. If you enjoy a certain genres of games like Roleplaying or fantasy, it eliminates a bunch of consoles. There is a variety of consoles out there such as Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and many others but overall what matters is the big three.

How is PlayStation better than the others?

PlayStation, for as long as I can remember, was the biggest thing that changed gaming by its graphics and large games it offered. It all started with the PlayStation 1 where they brought something that would change how we interpret games and that is Graphics and of course ( My personal Favorite) Final Fantasy. The system offered superb graphics and cut scenes to their Video-games and that made Sony different as other companies had not start this idea yet. Now, how does Final Fantasy tie into all this? Very simple really, The game offers multiple cut scenes that add depth in their characters and their game as well. Sony (PlayStation) has many games that are similar to this and I will go more in-depth with their console as well.

In the current generation, there is a war going on which is the "Better Console/Master race" between gamers and even consoles. Here is my reasoning why I believe PlayStation is better. Sony is known for having one genre type that others will not have unfortunately have which is JRPG's and a larger list of exclusives. These coming years, Sony has to offer games like Last of Us and Days gone which are fantastic Survival apocalyptic games that not only take time to create but even require a great team behind it to create them. Sony has these traits when it comes to their games and they always will offer great games like this. Now this is not to say that there are others that can battle the system itself and that console is Microsoft's system Xbox.

Microsoft Xbox and How they will take over

 

In my opinion, Microsoft have many things to offer that Sony does not understand that gamers want and that is knowing what the world wants. Back then, there was only the PlayStation and Nintendo Consoles that battle for the top and that was when Xbox came out and toppled the two and battled with the gaming companies. The world was wanting something that was different from the rest and Xbox provided that, which was Upgraded Graphics and even Large memory for games. It certainly made a revolutionary turn for everyone as it offered 3-D Graphics and would be known for their hit game Halo. Any person that is a gamer and hears Microsoft or Xbox will know that Halo is the number big hit for Microsoft as it offered Intense Story-telling and best of all Cooperative play and for the first time ever Online Multiplayer.

When Xbox started the war between the consoles, they came in with an idea and that idea would later be in games now known as online gaming. Many believe that Microsoft offering Online play that it created a huge gap between the consoles and allowed friendships and rivalries to be made. Halo was very good in doing this as online gaming with friends is what created the gaming community and there was nothing more satisfying then picking a controller and headset and hearing a voice on your team talk to you. In the next topic, I will explain why Xbox is now the best thing compared to the other consoles out there.

Some of the things that make Microsoft stand out from the rest is community and (in my opinion) better party options ( more on that, later). If there is a console that offers great community help in games or even play dates with developers of games, Microsoft does well to offer that to gamers. There are times when Microsoft would allow gamers to play with developers and it would build a great relations with the community and understand why certain things were put in a game and why they stand out. Next up, we have the party system which is very simplified and easy to manage. I have never had something so simple where all I have to do is press a single button and then right after, I am talking to my friends in middle town nowhere. It is one thing that I Believe the console does well on compared to others where it is complicated and most times no one will join you or have issues trying to connect to your party and Xbox makes it easy. Overall, Microsoft does well with their community, however fails to offer many Exclusives and family time which is why I believe Nintendo offers more of and that is family time.

Nintendo and the User-Friendly Family

This is the creation of what the world knows as the original gaming console and Nintendo was the very first to succeed in their course. When it first started out, there was a young generation (Way before I was born) that would game at arcades to enjoy games and compare to others at why they are superior and now Nintendo came out with their devices and would introduce Home Entertainment. This very first home console (Nintendo Entertainment System or NES) would bring together families and bring about Nintendo's mascot Mario. There were other consoles that tried to compete with Nintendo, such as the Atari and the Sega Genesis and they were good with the competition however lacked in quality games. Nintendo was great in offering a wide range of games that lasted a lifetime and offered challenges to family and even friends on beating high-scores and beating that level to advance onward. In conclusion to the history of how Nintendo started, I will begin to state why they are a go-to compared to Microsoft and Sony. 

Nintendo has never been afraid to try out new things and in these coming years, I believe they will offer more in the future. A great example would be the Nintendo Switch, It offers portability and can play great titles like Legend of Zelda and a Fan-Favorite Skyrim. There is many games that Nintendo offers that allow more family time to play with your children compared to Xbox and PlayStation where you have your simple point and shooter games. Some games include dancing, Creating and designing (Nintendo Labo), as well as a fun little game known as Bomber man. The system itself creates a nice melody with friends and families that brings one another together for that family game night that most consoles do not offer.

Prices and Writer's thoughts

This will conclude everything and I will include the prices for the systems and all that good stuff below. There are many that may disagree with my thoughts ( which is fine) however these are my own opinion and do not let it change what system you buy in the future. Starting off, I am a fan of Microsoft and even Nintendo as it again offers more community time with others and less time of myself gaming alone. Now I am not saying PlayStation is full of loners (cause it is not), there is still many things that PlayStation offers like great Single-Player games and at times Exclusives that make me cry a bit [Final Fantasy 7 Remake :'''( ]. All in all, I believe that as a buyer go with the system you believe will last a long time and one that you can have fun with others. Side note: I did not include PC only because it is a CONSOLE TOPIC and not a PC MASTER RACE TOPIC.
