Savings while Gaming
The Topic at hand is MONEY:
Starting things off as crispy as possible, let us be clear that gaming....is not cheap. There is multiple ways to save your average dollar while still playing some great games so let us get started.
Game Services and Streaming Services:
Thankfully in this day and age, we have been blessed by services like Netflix and Hulu, now did you know that there are other platforms that are similar to these Streaming sites. One of the many sites that can help save an extra dollar or two. Please note that these are subscription services however, they do offer a wide variety of games for a decent price.- Gamefly: For how long this service has been around, it is no wonder why many gamers ( Myself included) enjoy having Gamefly.
- Console Subscriptions: There are many different consoles that can be played to satisfied any gamer, it can very well save you tons of real-world money using subscriptions from your very video-game consoles. A great example would be none other than the next-gen family PlayStation and Xbox. Two different consoles that clash everyday with each other but have one great way to reel you in and that is their subscriptions. From PlayStation, you have the PlayStation Plus subscription (Starts at 9.99) for a month and get free games to play as long as you are subscribed. On Xbox, they offer the normal Xbox Gold membership where you get 4 free games a month and now have the new subscription Xbox Game Pass (9.99 a month). Initially both offer a wide variety of games to satisfy any gamer and save a pretty good penny.
- EA Access:One of the easy ways of getting games to your console is EA Access and there is many reasons why this service is great. For a low price of $5.00 a month, you get a variety of games to download and play and they offer Discounts for any game you want to purchase that EA publishes. If that is not gaming under a budget then I do not know what is and they do have a decent lineup of games to play. Starting with games like Fifa, UFC, and even Dead Space; there is a huge diversity of games in the service.
- Steam:If you have not owned a PC or play games with this era, where have you been. Steam is my final choice if you are wanting to save on money, save on spending, and save on anything. It is the most basic service to have if you are a solo gamer. They offer a huge line of free games and have sales almost every week. You do not need the best working PC to play but a decent one is preferred.
