What is Video-Gaming and What it means to you?

Hi, Welcome to what I refer to as "My Hot Topic" and what I am going to discuss today is simply what the titles above states. There are multiple ways to define Video-Gaming and no, I am not talking about the Slot machines and Video Poker machines, I am talking about the games that you played when you put your quarter in the machine and played the good ol' classic games. The Classics, of course, being Donkey Kong and Pac-man but what makes these game appeal to the person seeing these games. Is it perhaps the concept of achieving the High-Score on the game being played? or Is it the Longevity of playing the game consistently and seeing how long one may last on a simple game such as Mario. In my case, Video-gaming is a means of escape to a new world and exploring what possibilities are out there for myself to explore. The game that I use to play hours upon hours on for that matter is known as Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. A game made by Nintendo that not only showed Potential in the 3-D aspect of gaming, but it also offered great visuals and gameplay that made players last hours on end in exploration and adventure. In conclusion to this debate, I want to know what it is that Video-Gaming or Video-games are to you. Is it similar to my case, where it helps you escape from Reality for just a bit to enjoy unknown worlds or Is it a way for you to let out pent-up stress in shooter-type games? I would love to know and if you have an interesting topic, be sure to comment and let us debate more down below.
